Sophomoric but funny

I doubt I'll be posting anything substantive in the next few days. Things still pretty rough around here. But to tide you over, here's the most entertaining (albeit puerile) page I've seen in a while: QDB: Top 100 Quotes.

It appears to be quotations from IRC channels and other chat rooms. Some of them I suspect of having been made up—jokes rather than quotes per se—but nothing wrong with that. And some are pretty entertaining. (Um, also, the page is full of profanity, much of it in capital letters, so use your own judgment about whether that's work-safe.) I was especially amused by this "typo." Also by the excellent game of replacing "wand" with "wang" in Harry Potter books. The latter may be even more entertaining than the pants game. Example:

"You have your mother's eyes. It seems only yesterday she was in here herself, buying her first wang. Ten and a quarter inches long, swishy, made of willow. Nice wang for charm work."

(I haven't checked the books for accuracy of quotes.)

The rest of the page isn't as funny (to me, anyway), but there are a few other bits I found entertaining. Like: "Girls are like internet domain names, the ones I like are already taken" and a comment about the upstairs neighbors having sex.

Ah, I haven’t looked at bash.org for far too long. I still like:

Ok, I’m feeling like such an idiot, but I don’t get the typo one.

It’s just the silliness of the idea that one could accidentally slip and type a long specific phrase, especially due to the alleged closeness of keys (when there’s no way that particular keys being close to each other could actually have produced that result).
