Addendum re SH donations
The other day, in my entry about the SH fund drive, I said I would love to see a bunch of people give us $5 each. Turns out that if you go to the main fund drive page and click the "Donate Now Through Network for Good" button, you're told that the minimum donation is $10.
I'm sorry for the apparent contradiction. I hadn't known about that minimum; I'm guessing it's imposed by Network for Good (an organization that provides a way for people to donate to nonprofits online), but I don't know for sure. Anyway, if you want to donate $10 or more to SH, that's great. But if you want to donate less than $10, then just scroll down on the main fund drive page until you see the PayPal button and click that; I don't think PayPal requires a minimum amount. Or you can send a check or money order to the address at the bottom of that fund drive page.
If you want to donate less than $10 and you can't or don't want to use PayPal or a paper check, then drop me a note and we'll work something out.
