Locus Awards deadline tomorrow!

It's been pointed out to me that there's one reasonably high-profile speculative fiction award ballot that anyone in the world can vote on: the Locus Poll and Survey. Voting in this year's awards closes tomorrow, so if you want to participate, do so soon. Just follow that link and you can vote for free online. You don't have to be a Locus subscriber.

And you don't have to have read everything in the field to participate. The drop-down menus they provide list their recommended works from last year in each category, but you can also (or instead) write in other works or people.

There's been a lot of discussion lately of barriers to entry in Hugo nomination and voting. There are no barriers to entry for the Locus awards except that you have to have access to a ballot (which at this late date means you have to have web access). If you want to see an sf award reflect your tastes, go vote!

Be sure to read the instructions at the top of the ballot page before you vote.
