The season

Whenever a Vienna Teng song I haven't heard yet comes up in the iTunes rotation, I have to stop and go look up the lyrics, because there's always good stuff in them but they're easy to miss if I'm not paying attention.

Tonight it was her Atheist Christmas Carol. As with several of her other songs, I don't quite know what to make of it, but I really like it anyway.

My favorite bit is the last lines of the last verse:

It's the season of bowing our heads in the wind

And knowing we are not alone in fear,

Not alone in the dark.

My blog still isn't working properly--I have to take a roundabout route to post here (the previous entry was one I wrote and pre-posted days ago)--but I wanted to post this while I was thinking of it.

Hey, I like this! We’re on a music/book-buying embargo right now, but if you feel like gifting something… 🙂
