SH 2010: Which stories are novelettes?
I always intend to post a list of which Strange Horizons stories are short stories and which are novelettes (according to Hugo length standards), but I always forget. So this year I'm doing it early.
The following stories that we published in 2010 are more than 7500 words long, and are thus novelette-length (we never publish anything long enough to qualify as a novella):
- “The Mad Scientist's Daughter,” by Theodora Goss
- “WE HEART VAMPIRES!!!!!!,” by Meghan McCarron
- “The Bright and Shining Parasites of Guiyu,” by Grady Hendrix
- “Over My Shoulder,” by David Sklar
All the other fiction we published in 2010 is under 7500 words long (in fact, under 7000 words long), and thus counts as a short story.
