I recently received the following spam text message:
The Oak Park property values keep going up, making it an opportune time to reap the rewards. I'm Evan, I invest in local homes and would be willing to take a look at your residents. Like to set up a time to talk?
I was confused about why they were offering to look at my residents. I had to read the message two or three times before I realized that residents was a homophonic misspelling, and they meant residence.
