Solstice
21 June 2006, 9:16 AM
I slept right through the summer solstice this morning. Which is good, because it was at 5:26 a.m. California time.
I will be sad to see the days get shorter again. I've been really enjoying the evening sunlight.

I've always thought the solstice was the 21st of June somewhere in the evening.
I think I'd have made a very bad druid... (even more so because getting up at 5am is beyond me. I think you made the right decision by sleeping through it :) ). But yeah, it's kind of sad the days will get shorter. Sunlight always does wonderful things to cheer me up.

The official zonsondergang here was 22:04, but it was still very light out at 23:00 when I walked home after the WK match. Latitude has its advantages!
