From the end of Manohla Dargis’ pan in the Times:

“All About Steve” is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parents of girls are particularly cautioned.

(because, according to the end of the review, the movie treats female smarts as a kind of disability). By the way, I hadn’t noticed if it’s been going on for a while, but those cautions seem to be getting snarkier.

“Extract” is rated R (Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian). What do you think? It’s a blankety-blank Mike Judge movie.

    Roger Ebert chimes in:

…don’t get me wrong. I am fond of Sandra Bullock. I’ve liked many of her films, as recently as this summer (“The Proposal”). But how does she choose her material? If she does it herself, she needs an agent. If it’s done by an agent, she needs to do it herself.
