Eating the pie

Holly (my sister-in-law) made me take home a couple pieces of pumpkin pie last night. A couple minutes ago I was thinking maybe I should go eat some, but then I was thinking maybe I shouldn't. But then I told Kam, "After all, someone has to eat it at some point, so it may as well be me and now." Warming to my subject, I added, "You know what the rabbi said: If not me, now!"

At which point I realized that I should probably give up on the talking part and just go eat some pie. (And mighty tasty, too!)

Meanwhile, the International Space Station is also having food difficulties. According to the BBC, "Space crew 'using up food supply'." Best bit of article:

The BBC's Paul Welsh, in Moscow, says Russian mission control think the Americans are very sensitive when it comes to food and insist there is no need to panic. They say there are supplies, just maybe not the astronauts' favourite meals.

Now I'm imagining the astronauts sitting stubbornly in the space station demanding pie.

Perhaps it was turkey they were demanding. If so, they got it
