Futurismic fiction returns!

I continue to be out of touch; it's been a month now since Chris East announced that the fiction department at Futurismic has reopened--yay!--but I only just noticed. (And no, this isn't an April Fool's entry.)

They're not yet open to subs (Chris indicated that's likely to happen sometime in April--keep an eye on the guidelines page), but in the meantime they've posted two stories since reopening (one a month): "Uxo, Bomb Dog," by the inimitable Eliot Fintushel (seriously--have you ever tried to imitate him? can't be done), and "Mallory," by Leonard Richardson (featuring, among other things, "geek hackers and classic arcade games, electronic Darwinism and domestic espionage").

Haven't had a chance to read either story yet, but looking forward to doing so.

Mostly just posting 'cause I'm glad to see the return of the fiction department there, though I'm embarrassed not to have noticed a month ago.

Thanks for posting this, Jed! As a matter of fact, we just reopened yesterday (April 5th). Bring on the slush!
