Sarah Connor returns

Season 2 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles started tonight. I'll be waiting to watch the new episode with Kam, so I haven't seen it yet, but looking forward to it.

I never did manage to post much about the show, and am not going to do so tonight. But fwiw, I liked the abbreviated season 1 quite a bit (and more and more as it went on), and I'm very pleased that it got renewed. I hope ratings remain high enough to keep it on the air for a while.

At some point a couple weeks ago, I spent a little while reminding myself of what happened in season 1--they were rebroadcasting it, and my TiVo had picked up the episodes, so I skimmed bits of a few episodes as I read plot summaries (probably from Terminator Wiki, but I don't remember for sure). There was a lot of good stuff in those episodes. I'm tempted to pick them up on DVD to loan to people to get them hooked.

It looks like the beginning of the new episode provides enough of a Previously to get new viewers more or less up to speed. But if you're at all interested in the series (or, more generally, in unusual TV sf with strong female characters), the first season was only 9 episodes, and they're worth watching.
