R.I.P., Joanna Russ
I was very sorry to hear the other day that Joanna Russ had died.
I've been waiting to post until I had a free moment, but I'm finding that I don't have much coherent to say in memoriam, other than that she was a brilliant and influential writer, of both fiction and nonfiction, and that her work opened my eyes in various ways, both political and literary; and that I'm sad that she's gone.
