Awesome new forthcoming Ultimates series

I'm really looking forward to the new Ultimates comic book series. The team will consist of Ms. America, Black Panther, Blue Marvel, Spectrum, and Captain Marvel—which means that this team of powerhouse heroes, brought together to fight cosmic-scale threats to the world, includes no white men. I'm a big fan of the three women, and I'm looking forward to getting to know Black Panther and Blue Marvel better.

Especially because the series will be written by Al Ewing, the writer for Loki: Agent of Asgard, which was my favorite series of the last n years. Here's what Ewing said in an interview a couple months ago in response to a question about diversity in comics:

I think it's important in the way that a roof is important. If you're moving into a building and the landlord says “oh, and we have—get this—a roof! And four walls! We're not just a hole someone dug in the street!”, you don't start giving out medals for that. That's just a basic thing that ought to be standard. It's just fiction reflecting reality—there are all kinds of people in the world, and we should reflect that properly and try not to screw up. To be honest, I think there's a long way to go in a lot of ways, both on the page and off.

If you want a preview of the series, see the just-published Avengers #0, which exists only to introduce the six new post-reboot Avengers-related series. The best sequence, imo, is the one (written by Ewing) that features Ms. America healing a rift in spacetime by dancing with her date, who by the way is a (white) woman.
