1972, September 15: Postcard from Marcy to G&H

Postcard with a preprinted drawing of a lamp on it.

This is the last letter mailed from our Albany address, where we had lived for about two years.

Dear Gramparents

Peter says when I was running around the house yelling Money Money while he was on the phone he thought x I meant he was supposed to ask you for some. Actually I meant that I hate to have Pacific Telephone get any more of our Money even tho there may be lots coming. (When I worked as an operater, the supes used to cheer us on with “get the coins, girls!!”—meaning answer pay phones!)

love Marcy

I didn’t know Marcy had worked as an operator!
